cita SIGRE prepares three-year plans aimed at laboratories with measures for reducing the environmental impact of packaging from medicines

SIGRE is the body responsible for developing and monitoring the Company Prevention Plans (CPP) for packaging from the pharmaceutical sector. CPPs contain quantified objectives and the proposed preventive measures to make sure that packaging from medicines are lighter, less polluting and more easily recyclable, thereby reducing their environmental impact.

In May 2012, SIGRE submitted its plan to the environmental authorities responsible for overseeing this activity for the three-year period 2012-2014, in which it committed to meeting the overall reduction target for all types of packaging placed on the market by the pharmaceutical industry.

Catalogues are regularly published with a list of the ecodesign initiatives, which gather together the most representative measures taken in this field by laboratories.
