SIGRE in figures

Recycling medicines is a widespread environmental and health habit in Spanish households. The main results obtained by SIGRE in 2019 confirm this trend and also bear witness to the effective management performed by the organisation in applying the proper treatment to empty packaging and leftover medicines that are no longer needed or have expired.

These figures are in line with those in the latest Survey on Households and the Environment published by the Spanish National Statistics Institute, which highlights the fact that 70% of households deposit packaging and leftover medicines the Punto SIGRE at their pharmacies.
