All waste is sent to the SIGRE Packaging and Unused Medicines Treatment Plant, where it is sorted to allow the most appropriate treatment according to the type of waste:
1. Cardboard, paper, glass, plastic packaging, etc are recycled
2. Non-hazardous medicines are used for energy extraction
3. Hazardous medicines are delivered to a specialised manager for destruction
